Me and the sea /// Poetry /// Abdel Maboud *********** And my poems erupt from under the dirt, and they ooze freshness from the tenderness of my soul. Oil from the past lit up my lamp, so I began to see with my eyeballs. A knot of speech, its grains scattered. Pearls of memory dating back to my childhood. A sea in which I threw my poems into you, so read my beautiful poem to my beloved. I formulate the letter from your lust into a song that the fat people will sing from my ship. If you are satisfied, you resemble my calmness, and if you become angry, that is the state of my revolution.

وتثورُ من تحتِ الترابِ قصاٸدی

              فتفوحُ  وجْداً من حنایا مُهجتی

زیتُ من الماضی اضاءَ مسرجتی

               فغدوتُ ابصرُ بالفٶادٍ بمقلتی

عقدٰ الکلامِ تناثرتْ حباتُهُ

               درُُ من الذکری تعودُ لصبوتی

یا بحرُ القیتُ فیکَ قصاٸدی 

              فاقرأجمیلَ قصیدتی لحبیبتی

اصوغ الحرفَ من شطیکَ اغنیةً

          یشدواُ بهاالسمَّانُ  من سفینتی

فإذا رضیتَ فأنت تشبه هدأتی

         وإذا غضبتَ فتلك  حالة ثورتی
